Biography
George Olsen
Artist and architect
George Olson has been a master of his craft for the last four decades and is
considered one of a few remaining old-world style pen-and-ink artists using the
crow quill pen and India ink. He was born and raised in Montana with the Bob
Marshall Wilderness as his playground and inspiration.
Although his career began in architecture, he continually pursued his love of
art. His work in the architectural department of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints enabled him and his wife, Ruth to travel throughout Europe and
other parts of the world, learning from the masters and honing his own style.
After living and working in Great Britain and other areas of the United States,
George and Ruth now live in Mount Pleasant, Utah where they enjoy living in a
mountain cabin surrounded by Mother Nature's best.
George is now devoting his time to fine art. He has added watercolor to his
beautiful pen-and-ink works and loves to experiment in other mediums. His
collective works of the past and new works of today are available in galleries
and online at www.olsongalleries.com.
